Sherman II - Finito -

Finalmente ho finito lo Sherman II , ho per ultimo eseguito un lavaggio totale con il North Africa Dust della Ammo Mig 1404 , ho aggiunto il cavo di traino ed i  carristi.Ora mancano solo i carichi laterali e sullo scafo posteriore appena li avrò , saranno inseriti sul carro.

Ho effettuato il chipping sulle superfici del carro che ritengo più facili all'usura .

Sherman II - Primo lavaggio di invecchiamento -

Ho iniziato con il primo lavaggio con AK 066 su tutte le superfici del carro comprese le ruote . Poi con  il lavaggio color sabbia metterò in evidenza gli accumuli della stessa sullo scafo .

I started with the first wash with AK 066 on all surfaces of the tank including wheels. Then wash with sand color will highlight the accumulations of the same hull.

Sherman II - Modifica Mimetica -

Ho dovuto modificare la mimetica dietro consiglio del sig.Mike Starmer , non ho potuto fare più di così per non rischiare di rovinare tutto , è stato un lavoro lungo che mi ha portato via un intero pomeriggio ,tra mascherature e pittura e rifare i colori giusti....speriamo bene.

I had to change the disruptive pattern  on the advice of sig.Mike Starmer, I could not do more than that to not risk ruining everything, it was a long job that took me a whole afternoon, including masking and painting and do it the right colors well .... hopefully.

Work in progress - Sherman II -

Ho ultimato la pittura dei cingoli spruzzando con l'aerografo , sulle parti in acciaio , XF68 miscelato al 50% con X10 . Allo stesso ho aggiunto il diluente X20A per rendere il colore più liquido . Dopo circa 24 ore ho ripassato il metallo con il pigmento Mig P031 (Vietnam Earth) per simulare la ruggine , le parti gommate sono state trattate allo stesso modo ma con il pigmento Mig P037 ( Gulf War Sand) . Ho eseguito poi il montaggio dei cingoli sul carro . A questo punto ho fatto una miscela di XF55 ( 10%) X22 (20%) diluente X20A (70%) e dopo aver montato lo scafo superiore e la torretta ho spruzzato questo colore molto diluito e poco coprente sui fianchi , sul fronte e sul retro del carro , il risultato è nelle foto.

I finished the painting of the tracks by spraying with an airbrush, the steel parts, XF68 mixed with 50% with X10. Likewise I added the X20A thinner to make the color more liquid. After about 24 hours I rehearsed the metal with Mig pigment  P031 (Vietnam Earth) to simulate rust, rubber parts have been treated the same way but with Mig pigment P037 (Gulf War Sand). I then run the installation of the tracks on the tank. At this point I made a mixture of XF55 (10%) X22 (20%) thinner X20A (70%) and after fitting the upper hull and turret I sprayed this color very diluted and short covering on the sides, front and back of the tank, the result is in the pictures.

Oggi ho fissato la decals ( il numero 2 dietro la torretta è della Bison ) mentre gli altri simboli compreso il numero del carro sono transfer della Archer. Ho anche dipinto i cingoli con XF 1 a seguire sulla parte gommata ho usato l' XF85 (rubber black) aggiungendo  un pò di XF55 per schiarire . Ora ho mascherato la parte gommata  sia sotto che sopra per dipingere le parti in metallo .

Today I fixed the decals (the number 2 behind turret is the Bison ), while the other symbols including the number of the tank are the transfer of the Archer.
I also painted the tracks with XF 1 to follow on the rubber part I used the XF85 ( rubber black ) by adding a little to lighten XF55. Now I've masked the rubber part both below and above to paint the metal parts.

Sherman II - Pittura scafo superiore -

Ho appena finito di dipingere la parte superiore dello scafo di questo Sherman II e quindi pubblico queste foto evidenziando il cerchio giallo  dipinto con l'aerografo su  maschera da me costruita. I due scafi non sono incollati.

I just finished painting the upper part of the hull of this Sherman II and then the public these photos showing the yellow circle with the airbrush painting on the mask built by me.

Variante prese d'aria ( cover grouser compartment )

Variante in corso d'opera . Ho dovuto cambiare le due prese di ventilazione sul retro dello scafo superiore dello Sherman perchè  sono  semicilindriche e non dritte come si vede dalla foto che pubblico per discussione.

Sherman II - Pittura mimetica sulla torretta -

Ho iniziato la pittura della mimetica sulla torretta usando come fondo l'XF61 e per schiarire l' XF67 aggiungendo a questo un pò di bianco XF2 e successivamente del XF55 . Prima della pittura ho usato il patafix della UHU quello giallo per la mascheratura. Datemi voi cari amici un giudizio su questa pittura.

I started painting the camouflage on the bottom of the turret using as XF61 and to lighten the 'XF67 adding to this a little bit of white XF2 and then the XF55. Before painting I used UHU patafix the yellow one for masking. Give me you dear friends a review of this painting.

Pittura Sherman II - Prima fase -

Premetto che tutti i colori  usati sono referenze Tamiya . Ho iniziato la pittura dello Sherman usando come primer una base di XF78 (Wooden Deck Tan )  ho poi proseguito con  una miscela di XF59  5 gocce + XF2  4 gocce + XF15  1 goccia  , a questa base ho aggiunto 2 gocce di XF2 per schiarire i punti più in luce , per ultimo ho aggiunto un'altra goccia di XF2 per eseguire la Modulazione del Colore . Giudicate voi , sono ancora in tempo a variare le dosi. Da tenere conto che lo scafo inferiore lo scafo superiore e la torretta non sono ancora incollati .

I state that all the colors used are Tamiya references. I started painting the Sherman using as a primer based XF78 (Wooden Deck Tan) I then continued with a mixture of 5 drops XF59 + 4 drops XF2 + 1 drop XF15  , at this base I added 2 drops of XF2 to lighten the points more light, last I added another drop of XF2 to perform the Modulation of Color. Judge for yourself there is still time to change the doses. To take into account that the lower hull , the upper hull and turret are not yet bonded.

Carristi per Sherman II - Finiti -

Ho ultimato la pittura dei due figurini per lo Sherman con diversi passaggi con colori chiari e scuri sempre tendenti al color sabbia la cintura ed il fodero per la pistola sono di colore Khaki 988 Vallejo le fibbie sono in ottone 801 .

I finished the painting of the two figures for the Sherman with several steps with light and dark colors always tending to the sand-colored , belt and sheath for the gun are 988 Vallejo Khaki colored buckles are brass 801.

Carristi per Sherman II

Prima di iniziare la pittura del carro  devo aggiungere i carichi , che stò aspettando da un pò di tempo . Nel frattempo ho iniziato la pittura dei due carristi che sono una referenza Dougs Original sia il capocarro che il pilota che ho dovuto tagliare in alcune parti per inserirlo nel vano sx del carro . Le teste sono della Hornet.
I colori usati sono : il White Skull della Citadel come primer , di seguito per le uniformi ho usato i colori Vallejo ocra verde 914  e 951 bianco . Le due teste hanno ricevuto lo stesso primer e poi la mia solita pittura ad olio mentre il berretto è stato dipinto con il nero 951 della Vallejo . Spero venga un buon lavoro. Naturalmente sono ancora da finire .
