Produced by Ansaldo-Fossati of Genova from 1933, the "Carro Veloce"CV 33 with other subsequent models CV 35 and CV 38 , was produced in more than 2000 exemplars and exported in various countries including Austria, Brazil, China, Hungary. The CV 33 was equipped with a petrol engine of 2746 C.C. that develop a power of 43 HP and an armament made by two Fiat 35 machine guns calibre 8 mm with 27 + 2 coils of 80 rounds each one. The crew was formed by two men, pilot and commander / machine gunner. The tank was deployed on all fronts where he Regio Esercito operated , including the Spanish Civil War. After the armistice on September 1943, Germans appropriated of many CV that, under their insignia, participated at the anti-partisan fights, principally in the Balkans sector. This tank came along with many others in Africa painted gray green, with white back for easy night march in column. Soon he was painted in the classical sand color,
