Sherman Firefly

Pittura equipaggio Firefly quasi finita , devo fare un pò di luci sulle divise , i volti non mi sono venuti tanto bene ,comunque mi accontento . Poi ho ultimato anche la base come potete vedere ed ho sostituito la cassa posteriore perchè quella che avevo messo era postbellica . Ho messo il pilota al suo posto e mi sembra anche abbastanza bello .Ormai manca poco alla conclusione di questo lungo lavoro . Ciao Amici .
P.S. la nuova cassa sul retro è della Panzer Art R35-091 .

Painting Firefly crew almost over, I have to do a bit of light on the uniforms, the faces I have come so well, however, I'm happy. Then I also completed the base as you can see, and I replaced the box back because the one I had put the postwar era. I put the rider in place and it seems also quite nice. Now it is almost the end of this long work . Hi Friends.
P.S. the new box back is the Panzer Art R35-091.

Membri dell'equipaggio per il Firefly .

 Ho aerografato con l'XF49 i tre componenti dell'equipaggio dello Sherman Firefly . Questo colore poi leggermente schiarito con il bianco è la base di partenza per la pittura a pennello con il 921 ( uniforme Inglese ) della Vallejo . Le teste sono invece dipinte con XF59 per favorire la pittura del viso con i colori ad olio.Il riquadro in rosso del pilota serve per far vedere la parte che sarà in vista fuori dal portello .

I airbrushed with the XF49 the three crew members of the Sherman Firefly. This color then slightly brightened with white is the starting point for painting with a brush with the 921 ( English uniform ) of Vallejo. The heads are painted with XF59 to encourage face painting with oil paints.The red square in the driver serves to show which part will be in sight out for the hatch .

British Sherman VC Firefly - Finito -

Sono arrivato alla finitura dello Sherman ho concluso la pittura con un lavaggio di A-MIG 1401 Light Dust , spero sia venuto un bel lavoro . Ora devo iniziare la pittura dei figurini che andranno a completare il Firefly .
I due in torretta sono della Alpine ref.35180 ed il pilota è un Hornet modificato . Più avanti posterò le foto .

I arrived at the finish of the Sherman I finished the painting with a wash of A MIG-1401 Light Dust, hope has come a nice job. Now I have to start the painting of the figures that will complete the Firefly.The two are in the turret of the Alpine ref.35180 and the driver is a Hornet modified. Later I will post photos.

Sherman Firefly - Primo lavaggio e cambio di colore del nome BELVEDERE -

Ho effettuato il primo lavaggio su tutto lo Sherman con A-MIG 1005 per carri di colore verde , ho anche rifatto il nome BELVEDERE dipingendolo con l'aerografo di giallo XF3 mescolato al 50% con  bianco XF2.

I made the first wash over the entire Sherman with A-MIG 1005 for tanks green, I also redid the name BELVEDERE painting it with the airbrush yellow XF3 mixed with 50% white XF2.

British Sherman Firefly - Fine montaggio -

Ho finalmente finito il montaggio dello Sherman Firefly e finita anche la pittura degli attrezzi e dei carichi , sia posteriori che anteriori di difesa mancano solo dei piccoli particolari come i vetri dei periscopi. Poi  con l'aerografo ho spruzzato una mano leggera di XF55 su tutto il carro. Ora dovrò fare il lavaggio e le sporcature .

I finally finished the installation of the Sherman Firefly and also finished painting tools and loads, both rear and front of the defense there are only small details like the glass of periscopes. Then with the airbrush I sprayed a light coat of XF55 throughout the tank. Now I'll have to do the washing and dirtying.

Firefly - Pittura secondo step -

Nel secondo step ho usato sempre i colori Tamiya ma seguendo le istruzioni del Sig. Starmer il quale è sato molto gentile a consigliarmi le quantità di colore da usare : 5 gocce XF81 , 1 goccia XF58 , 1 goccia XF71.
Ora nelle foto non si vede molto bene ma questo è il risultato.

In the second step I used Tamiya colors but always following the instructions of Mr. Starmer which is concerned very kind to advise the amount of color to use: 5 drops XF81,1 drop XF58 , 1 drop XF71.Now in the pictures do not see very well, but this is the result.

Firefly - Pittura , primo step -

Prima fase di pittura con XF81 seguito da XF58 schiarito leggermente con XF71 , le referenze sono tutte Tamiya .

First step of painting with XF81 followed by XF58 lightened slightly with XF71, references are all Tamiya.

Firefly - Primer -

E' iniziata la pittura dello Sherman Firefly , come primer ho usato  l' XF 19 , spruzzato con l'aerografo e poi ho passato tutto il carro con lo Skull White della Citadel .

It 'started painting the Sherman Firefly, as a primer I used the' XF 19, sprayed with the airbrush and then I spent the whole tank with Skull White of the Citadel.

Sherman Firefly turret

Ho ultimato il posizionamento dei carichi laterali sulla torretta dello Sherman , sotto ai teli ci sono dei cingoli non avendone  abbastanza di T62 ho aggiunto i T54E1 come si vede dalle foto originali già postate . Sul lato destro ho cercato di inventare un pò , non avendo  foto di quella parte della torretta .

I completed the placement of lateral loads on the turret of the Sherman, under the tarps there are tracks not having enough of  T62 I added T54E1 as seen from the original photos already posted. On the right side I tried to invent a little, having no pictures of that part of the turret.

In questo periodo di feste non ho lavorato molto sul mio Firefly ma piano piano ho finito il montaggio di alcuni particolari e dei cingoli ModelKasten ( lavoro di super pazienza ) ed ho deciso di rappresentalo come queste due foto che posto di seguito , non in questa situazione di movimento ma in  pausa come è mio solito fare . Il Firefly è il BELVEDERE , Squadrone B , Staffordshire Yeonmary , 27th Armoured Brigade ,Normandia 1944 . Gli accessori sono : Black Dog , Verlinden , Tasca , Dragon , Tank Workshop, Eureka XXL, la canna è Lion Marc ed un paio autocostruiti  come il telone e la scala .

In this holiday season I have not worked a lot on my Firefly but slowly I finished the installation of some details and track Modelkasten (work super patience) and I decided to represent it as a place that these two photos below, not in this situation movement but paused as is my wont. The Firefly is the BELVEDERE, B Squadron, Staffordshire Yeonmary, 27th Armoured Brigade, Normandy in 1944. Accessories are: Black Dog, Verlinden, Tasca , Dragon, Tank Workshop, Eureka XXL, the gun barrel is Lion Marc and a few self-built as the tarp and scale.

Ho finito di assemblare i 6 carrelli di tipo standard ed ho eseguito alcune ulteriori saldature sullo scafo e sulla torretta.

I finished assembling the 6 bogies type standard and I ran some more welds on the hull and turret
